In the search for a nice hotel, the Lonely Planet Guide Book suggested the AIM Conference Center Hotel in Makati. The hotel was decently priced, but most importantly it was very close to Greenbelt Mall and Glorietta Mall.
The hotel is attached to the Asian Institute of Management. There are many different conference and meeting rooms, which makes it ideal for business travellers. There is a restaurant on the 3rd (it may have been the 5th floor), a small café on the ground floor, as well as a medium size pool.
In 2010, they were in the middle of doing renovations. Half of the rooms had already received an upgrade. By now, the rest of the rooms should be done. The picture above is from a renovated room.
The wifi connection wasn’t too bad. They also provide you with a CAT5 wire if you would rather plug in directly (just ask the front desk).
The hotel was clean and comfortable. I would recommend it for anyone with a medium size budget. I believe we were paying about 3500 pesos per night.
