If you have a few extra dollars to spend, or you’re travelling with a buddy that doesn’t mind splitting the cost… stay a few nights at the El Nido Garden Beach Resort.
Yes, this is different from the El Nido Beach Hotel. Funny enough, they’re almost right next to each other as well.
The resort is modern, with a traditional feel to the exterior of the buildings. There are only about 10 cottages and they all surround the pool. There are 2 rooms per cottage, each with their own patio.
Breakfast seems to be included with each room. I think there was a choice of Filipino style and American. Each also comes with coffee/tea and fresh fruit.
A real positive is that the resort has a generator that is used each morning. El Nido has a scheduled brown-out EVERY day from about 7am to 3pm (from what I remember). El Nido Garden Beach Resort will turn the generators on until about 9am. This give you time to have a hot shower in the morning, as well as hot food.
I stayed here just over a week and enjoyed every moment of it. I suggest you check it out as well.
