The great staff at Affinity Condo Resort took me to El Kabayo Waterfalls for a hike and picnic. After a 45-minute drive from Angeles City we arrived at the entrance to the falls. When we got there, I had no idea how far the hike would be or how difficult.
The hike itself wasn’t very long. Start to finish only about 15-20 minutes. I think it would have been quicker, but it had rain the previous night and the ground was quite muddy. I chose to go slow and not slip into the mud. The hike itself was easy and I would recommend it for almost any age.
Once you get to the falls you will be approached by the local caretaker who will collect the entrance fee. It was 50 pesos per person, no time limit. We had brought some food and the caretaker was able to cook it for a few a bit extra.
There was a little bridge to take you over a stream which brought us to a few picnic tables. There was one waterfall right beside the picnic area and one just down the hill a few meters away.
It was a great place to relax. The sound of waterfalls and scenery made it a really nice afternoon hangout. After we spent a few hours here, we made our way over to the Subic Tree Top Adventure Park which was only a few minutes away.
